This beautifully constructed temple complex houses sacred relics of Arahant monks.
From here, you can clearly see many famous mountain ranges and landmarks including Hanthana, Knuckles, Aludeniya Hills, Alagalla, Bathalegala, Ambuluwawa, Sri Pada (Adam’s Peak), Pidurutalagala, and the Ranawana Buddha Statue.

While traveling from Colombo to Kandy on the Colombo–Kandy road, pass the town of Pilimathalawa. After that, you will come across the Polgahamul Junction. Turn left onto the road leading to Muruthalawa–Aladeniya, and you will find the site located in Muruthalawa town.
