Pattipola Railway Station
It is the highest railway station in Sri Lanka, situated at the highest elevation above sea level.
Furthermore, the Summit Level, the highest point on a 5' 6" broad gauge railway line in the world, is also located near the Pattipola railway station.
Pattipola is located between the Ambewela and Ohiya railway stations on the Main Line (the Upcountry Line), which is ranked 7th among the most difficult railway tracks in the world
